| Making a difference on the Gulf Coast The Junior League of Pensacola is a nonprofit organization of women in the Pensacola Area committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Junior League membership is open to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and a commitment to voluntarism. In 1956, JULEP began with 37 founding members. Today, there are approximately 225 Active and Provisional members and a strong Sustaining organization of 350. With so many members, the long-term positive impact of voluntarism has undeniably changed lives. JULEP members come from all walks of life - corporate executives, business owners, teachers, attorneys, at-home wives and mothers. But all members have one thing in common...a heart for building a better community. Escambia and Santa Rosa counties have relied on the Junior League of Pensacola for support and service since 1956. In partnership with the community, we will continue to make a difference in the future of our city. Special thanks to our Premier Sponsor, Cox Communications. |
